As part of an ongoing program of judicial capacity building and IP enforcement for Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), CLDP held a second working group session in Sarajevo to continue working on the development of a Judicial IP Benchbook. The authors of the IP benchbook are 7 BiH civil and criminal judges. Providing guidance on the benchbook were Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Bernice Donald and Federal Judicial Center Director of Communications Policy & Design Attorney Sylvan Sobel. Throughout the two working days, the BiH judges and U.S. advisors analyzed the content of the 300-page draft benchbook and worked together toward a final version of the text. Besides working on completing the benchbook with the BiH judges, CLDP and the advisors met with the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH, the US Embassy Sarajevo, and the FBiH Judicial and Prosecutorial Training Center in order to discuss how the benchbook will be utilized, updated, published, and disseminated.
