WTO Regional Information Seminars to Provide Accurate, Current Information on Russia's Accession to the WTO

July 23, 2004 - September 10, 2004

Five regional seminars were convened in strategic locations, where populations will be affected by WTO accession: Stavropol, Saratov, Cheboksary, Barnaul and Petrozavodsk. Government of Russia officials who directly work on Russia's accession to the WTO conducted the seminars. This group included members of the WTO negotiating team, experts who prep the WTO negotiating team, members of the Duma, and officials from the Center for Trade Policy and Law and Academics. Local government officials and businessmen from throughout each region will be invited to attend these one-day seminars.

CLDP in Action

May 13, 2019 - May 15, 2019

On May 13-15, 2019, in Tbilisi, Georgia, CLDP facilitated the eighth meeting of the Expert Level Working Group on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures for officials from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. The group benefited from additional participation by officials from Ukraine and Georgia.
