In order to support the Government of Sri Lanka's efforts to create a strong intellectual property (IP) regime, including the protection and exploitation of IP rights (IPR) in the public and private sector, CLDP with the help of USPTO, WIPO, the World Bank, and various universities in the United States, has been working with select universities across Sri Lanka to establish university business linkages (UBL) and Higher Education Institutions (HEI) to function as technology transfer offices.

This program aims to help with capacity-building for the directors, managers, and legal officers of UBL and HEI cells across public and private universities in Sri Lanka. The culmination of this work will also allow for UBL and HEI directors to showcase their work through the World IP Day Celebration.
