CLDP organized, with the African Development Bank (AFDB), a two-day seminar for delegations from Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. Government officials, private sector firms, judges, and lawyers worked with international experts to define transparency standards and procedures to prevent, and resolve, disputes in government procurement. CLDP helped create a clear set of transparency standards and procedures to make it possible to prevent, and resolve, disputes in government procurement. These transparency standards were published by CLDP and by the African Development Bank in a trilingual publication (Arabic, English, French), so that they can be known in the Arab world and in Africa. Since government procurement is the main vector of corruption, these transparency standards help contribute to good governance throughout the Arab world and Africa.
