In continuation of CLDP's technical assistance to the Government of Algeria since 2005 to build the capacity of a core group of experienced judges to adjudicate cases related to the financing of SMEs (small and medium enterprises), CLDP conducted a three-day workshop in Algiers, Algeria, December 1-3. During the workshop, the participating Algerian judges utilized the knowledge and tools obtained in the preceding seminar to consider and render a decision on case studies related to SME financing. Through practical experience considering the cases with the support of an expert U.S. judge, the Algerian judges strengthened their ability to facilitate mediation or reach a timely decision in cases related to the financing of SMEs.
